Smoking in china

In china, here it is, the place that most people smoke; here it is, the place that you can smoke in almost all places; here it is, the place with little house fires and a ridiculous amount of smoking in all buildings (including ones you are not supposed to).

Smokes in china are dirt cheap ranging from a pack of 20 (cheapest) for 7 (chi Kauai) RMB. It is quite odd, the more you pay, the less you get, as you get relatively more expensive cigarettes the size is like that of a tooth pick, you are afraid you will swallow it and that much less tabacco. Most expensive packs have maybe 10 or so, some less. All lighters usually one cost 1 Kauai but are known for quickly falling a part or shattering upon a simple drop.

There are some places you "should not" smoke but if you are not seen, who will do anything to you?

Welcome to quitting in china...

2 weeks as of Jan 01 2015

Congratulations to two others who have recently also quit; but a big thanks to the one who is sponsoring me.

Dude, without your motivation and inspiration, I would not have semi-black (instead of black) lungs today.

The last thing we smoked (and which was together at 11:50pm Dec 31st) was a cigar and Marlboro Chinese regular :p oddly enough, they were both gifts from the guy helping me quit.

It was just after my experience in the ER with the fever that I realized I felt like crap and noticed a difference in my health.

I always said by 24, that would be it. Maybe I'm not as lazy and bad at keeping promises as i thought.

Thanks again KF, hope things continually go well. No cheats, no halfsies and he'll no more smoking.

Got it.

I know what the problem is. I know what my motivation to quit is...the loving touch of a beautiful woman.

Frik.

Not like how you think, date a girl, give it up for her, I mean, like, an encounter or knowledge of a possible encounter will persuade me and a half, to put down a cigarette.

Ugh. This is going to be harder than I thought...pun completely intended :p

Cheers, wish me luck.

Losing it

I'm losing interest in this blog cause I messed up.

I need to stick with it; need to keep going. Why is it so hard to quit? :(

This is something in going to be struggling with hard for a long time I think for sure but I tell you, by the time I get to china, I quit. Cold turkey or cut down; I'm going to be done by the time I land in china.

Ugh

Well I broke had one today, but I swear no more, said me everytime.

I started this post a few days ago and honestly I was just so mad. I took a step back and thought about things, I saw that I spent 3 days without breaking and then even between that one I had and now, I have not smoked even half as much as i usually do. Legitimately, it is so frikin hard and I just can't find the right motivation to quit cold turkey.

So lately I have been going a day or two between smokes, uping my hydration and garlic intake. Trying to find something. Just anything anyone knows that would be good for quitting? I used an e cigarette in the past and that worked well actually but now, they are so bloody expensive to maintain! Ugh.

Open to suggestions. The weekend is coming and I think I'll be done for awhile again.

Wish me luck,

Stressed quitter...

Day #3

Last night and today were brutal for cravings, I'm finding I get them more so when I'm bored or not moving around.

Work is the worst place for my cravings cause everyone smokes, this morning, three I was doing inventory with were all lighting cigs. Ugh when I was in montreal a couple weeks ago, that was crazy as well! Couldn't believe how many people smoked there!

Ugh whyyyyyy!? Why, why did I ever start.

Sincerely

Quitter to the max.

Day #2 feeling it

In bit feel better or worse, feel the same except I feel the craving. I want one so bad.

I'm actually standing at work right now talking to a guy while we are on downtime and he is smoking, he offered me one on the way here, I just said no thanks and started playing candy crush lol

Ugh nice day outside, would be relaxing but I need to stay strong !

Cheers
